When I finished my study in the winter semester 98/99 with the biology diploma I realized no appearant change on the job market was to take place. Thats why I decided to transform my hobby computer into a job. I completed a class whith the certificate "Application - Developer - Multimedia" at the Siemens Business Services GmbH in Bochum.
I participated in the qualifying measure "application-developers-multimedia", which took place from 21.02.2000 to 16.02.2001.
In the context of the qualifying measure I collected experiences with internet programming with HTML, Java Script, CSS and DHTML.
The experiences with Freehand 8, Photoshop 5,0/5,5 and GIMP and the experiences gathered in the context of the screen Design part of the course
offer a good basis for the graphical conversion of contents.
In the further process of the qualification I had the opportunity to train the administration of databases (MySQL) and
object-oriented programming with JAVA.
Since the 01.03.2001 I worked in the multimedia agency eskatoo GmbH as Web-Developer.
The cologne address of the insolvent multimedia agency eskatoo (Nuernberg) did perform a management buy-out
at the beginning of January 2002 and the Right Step West GmbH was founded. There I worked from 01.01.2002 to 30.09.2002 again as Web-Developer.
My field of application in the two multmimedia agencies covered essentially the following activities:
- Maintenance and servicing of the websites of our customers (partly by using content management systems)
- Production, import and Relaunch of different websites by use of HTML, CSS, Javascript, JSP and MySQL
- Siteadministration in the content management system Gauss VIP
- Server support for different operating systems (Linux, Windows)
Area of expertise: Development of web-applications with JAVA and JSP, customizing and integration of Content-Management-Systems.
